OUR STORY

1994 - 1999

Broke was founded in 1994 as the first Italian brand with the aim of introducing a new American style still unknown in Italy and Europe: Streetwear. 

Around the Brand, a spontaneous movement immediately develops that gathers all street passions, extreme sports, and alternative music; it involves characters not yet known in the entertainment world and unites young people in a strongly identity-driven community.

2000 - 2010

In the early 2000s, Broke became an integral part of Italian and European Street culture by organizing events and concerts accompanied by a lifestyle that began to be increasingly influential throughout the old continent after arriving from America. The brand is appreciated by anyone looking for comfortable and durable clothing, crafted down to the smallest details, with a style that begins to identify a generation. This also happens thanks to the contribution of personalities who wear Broke with pride and become well-known during that period, such as Club Dogo, Neffa, J-AX, Frankie Hi Energy, and others.

2011 - 2018

After closing in 2006, Broke does not reopen for several years, then starts again in 2011 with a completely different vision of the market. Interest begins in the sustainability of the production process and techniques to make the style of the garments even more sophisticated. Production remains controlled to satisfy e-commerce and retail points, but national and international distribution is interrupted. All this to focus on researching the production process that fully reflects the ideals of the Brand and to find the right formula to propose it to the entire market.

2019 - 2022

In 2019, it returns to the market with the B.E.ST. collection featuring fabrics, constructions, and workmanship of superior quality. The concept of Ecoism is born, permeating the entire production of Broke Clothing, and for the first time, the production is made with deadstock materials, creating the first zero-impact collection.

Today Broke returns with the most sustainable Streetwear proposal on the market. The style that has characterized the brand for years remains intact and is accompanied by an increasing focus on the sustainability of the entire production to avoid contributing to the pollution caused by the clothing industry.
